No: Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is already a form of amoxil, it just has an additional component that Amoxil alone does not have. The additional component is called clavulanate potassium a 'beta-lactamase inhibitor'. This addition keeps certain bacteria from inactivating the antibiotic.
