Same pill: These two are generic equivalents meaning they are the same medication. Both consists of 21 active pills containing 0.1 mg levonorgestrel and 0.02 mg ethanol estradiol. Its the same thing just made by a different company. Likely your insurance covered one and not the other and the pharmacy may have been helping you out. ...Read more

Not really: Equally effective regardless of time of day. Meals should not effect efficacy. Same for Keflex (or other cephalosporins), although it may be slightly less irritating (if you are having any belly discomfort) if taken with meals. ...Read more

Alternate treatment: Probably you are referring to a genital infeciton, i.e. vaginal yeast infection. A few percent of them are resistant to all "azole" drugs. Ask your doctor about alternate treatments like caspofungin, nystatin, or flucytosine. You may need to see an infectious diseases specialist or a gyn who specializes in infections.
