OK to breast feed: It is ok to breast feed the baby while taking clarithromycin. While some may make it into the breast milk, it is not likely to cause a problem for baby as we may use this family of medications when treating infants.In general, f we use it in infants at that age it is ok to bf while taking it. ...Read more

Formula : Give the baby formula while you are taking the medications and for 24 hours after you stop. If you have no infection and are only taking the meds for "insurance" against infection, tell the surgeon you're nursing and ask if you can skip them. ...Read more

Very low!: I never make guarantees, but your chances of pregnancy are extremely low. Although antibiotics can reduce the efficacy of birth control, between the fact that you are breast-feeding and not menstruating yet, your chances of conceiving are slim. If it has been less than five days, you can take Ella (ulipristal acetate) (rx morning after pill) to be safe. And be sure to take a pregnancy test two weeks from the event. ...Read more

Doctor can evaluate: One week of Amoxicillin usually doesn't cause any problems. A primary care doctor and a GI specialist can evaluate to see what the bloating is caused by. Other causes of bloating should be looked for, because the timing of the symptoms could just be coincidentally related to the amoxicillin. Why did you take: amoxicillin? Was this leftover antibiotics from another illness, or did a healthcare provider prescribe this to you to take for this particular illness? By "popping green" I'm assuming you mean throwing up. It is NOT normal to be throwing up so much and often, but of course I don't know the rest of your history.
