Maybe,maybe not : The dose for an infection will vary with the age of the patient and the illness being treated. If the kid is over 3 months of age and this is for a urinary tract or respiratory infection it is pretty standard. If over 3 months and for an ear infection, it is at the low end of the dosing range but might work. ...Read more

Strep throat : he can take high dose amoxil for his weight for 10 days. Around 750mg twice a day. That fose may be a little low but not necessarily less effective. Hope that helps ...Read more
