My urinalysis good except; urine color:yellow. Appearane:turbid. Rbcs: 9 (normal is 3/microliter)crystals: amorphous urates abundant. Epithelial:moderate?
Contaminated: The color is fine; the urates precipitating may have caused the cloudiness and really mean nothing. The epithelial cells indicate likely contamination and this makes the reds less worrisome. Is your physician concerned? The most i'd do is repeat unless there's an actual reason to worry. ...Read more

OK unless dehydrated: These crystals are a combination of elements that are normally in the urine, calcium and urate, causing a red/orange stain/crystal formation in the diaper. These are normal and should resolve on their own. If there is any ongoing feeding problem with your baby or if she is not making several wet diapers a day, see her pediatrician. ...Read more
What mean that urine albumin trace pus cells 12-15 epith. Cells+++ crystals amorphous bacteria present?
Urinalysis: Trace albumin means little or nothing. The presence of trace pus cells is probably from a poorly collected specimen contaminated by vaginal secretions, as suggested by the epithelial cells. The amorphous bacteria is also a result of contamination. To be effective in helping diagnosing UTI this should be an assisted clean midstream urine specimen. ...Read more

Four month old daughter with urate crystals in diaper multiple times. Blood work and urinalysis normal. Something serious or normal variation?
VERY NORMAL!: We se uric acid crystals from the day kids are born. This is normal in infant urine and absolutely no reason to be concerned. I took calcium supplement so calcium oxalate urates coming in urine. Any good calcium supplement that don't cause it?
Hi. Was that your first stone? Any family history of stones? It's always worth checking a blood calcium and PTH, urine pH, and a 24-hour urine for calcium & oxalate, and any other tests indicated. Women I know who've had a vaginal birth and passed a stone say they'd take the vaginal birth over the stone any day. If you find something treatable your future might be more comfortable! ;-)

Many patients will see a note of amorphous urates on their laboratory results. Since the name sounds very clinical, it can understandably cause concern for patients. However, this is an extremely common finding that has nothing to do with your body, but rather, with the refrigeration process of the urine sample.
The amorphous urates can sometimes “stick” to mucus threads or casts in your urine, thus making diagnosis of the real problem a bit trickier. Fortunately, laboratory professionals have ways to separate the amorphous urates from the other parts of the urine, thus giving a more accurate picture of what your health is really like. ...Read more
