Can I give my baby hydroxyzine hydrochloride syrup with ambroxol hydrochloride syrup? Hope they don't react with each other.
MixingMedsDangers: You should always consult with your physician before mixing medications. Ambroxol is not available in the US so I can't comment on how it interacts with Hydroxyzine but as I said above - always talk with your physician or even the pharmacist before using multiple medications especially in children! ...Read more

Not recommended: Medications such as decongestants (like pseudoephedrine) and antihistamines (like triprolidine) are not recommended for babies or young children. Nasal saline spray, bulb suction, and humidifier use are more helpful and safer for babies with a cold. ...Read more

Can you tell me how I could extract dextromethorphan from a syrup containing pseudoephedrine and triprolidine hydrochloride?
Please tell any over-the-counter syrup available for kids having pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, chlorphenamine maleate, acetaminophen?
I do not think so: If you are asking for a single medication that is available otc with all 3 ingredients, I am not aware of any. You can find some that have the Pseudoephedrine and the chlorpheniramine but not the acetaminophen. I believe advil (ibuprofen) allergy sinus is close having Ibuprofen instead of the Acetaminophen in pill form. That said, cold medications are not recommended for children less than 4 years of age. ...Read more

Check the package insert for dosing instructions or consult with your pharmacist or physician for more details. ...Read more
