Ambien Recreational Dose
My girlfriend took 3 Ambien (zolpidem) and 3 lorazipam. Her normal dose is 1 pill of each. How concerned should i be? What should I look out for?
I'm prescribed 10mg Ambien (zolpidem) to take every night, and been on it for 5+ months. I've built up a tolerance, is there a higher dose I can take?
No: Ambien (zolpidem) 10 mg is the maximum dose. The problem with ALL the tranquilizer type sleep meds is you build a tolerance to them and they don't work after a while. This is why it's best not to take these every night. Taking them every 2-3 nights works better. Alternative meds that could help with sleep are Trazodone, Remeron, or Vistaril. Insomnia, Ambien (zolpidem): I understand your need to have good sleep. After using Ambien (zolpidem) for 2 years, you have developed Tolerance, so it is not effective any more. I take trazodone1x50mg at night and low-dose Ambien (zolpidem) taken as needed. Trazodone doesn't seem to get me to sleep; may i add half an ambien (zolpidem)?

Request Ambien (zolpidem) taper schedule. Current dose = Ambien (zolpidem) 5mg and Ambien (zolpidem) cr 6.5mg q.D. At bed for ssri taper. 1 month clear of ssri, doing well...Desire taper from ambien (zolpidem). Otc meds (melatonin) help?

Taper: Hi, due to possible withdrawal symptoms that she has a taper off the medication would be ideal. Try full dose and half dose every other day for one week, the next week go to half dose every day and finally half dose every other day with none on the other days for one week and off.
