Can I take guaifenesin 400 mg/phenylephrine HCl 10 mg safely with these meds
What do you mean by: safely ? There have not been any drug-drug interaction studies with Linzess as yet. There is a risk of serotonergic syndrome with combining guaifenesin, phenylnephrine, Cymbalta (duloxetine) and Vyvance. Ambien is for occasional use. I would not combine it with Valium. Other than that you're fine. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Valium (diazepam) is an older benzodiazepine tranquilizer. It was the #1 prescribed drug (of any kind) in the us in the late 1960s but is used less now due to drug interactions and active metabolites. It is still used for anxiety and as "pre-medication" for uncomfortable medical and minor surgical procedures. It is habit-forming, should not be used with alcohol, ...Read more

I'm on wellbutrin, (bupropion) valium, ambien, topomax. Flexeril, hydrocodone (when i need it) and now i'm on zoloft. That's only half my meds i take. Is this ok?
Depends: What medications you take depends on the problems you have, the illnesses you are diagnosed with and your specific reactions. If you have questions, contact your doctor or doctors and ask them about specific concerns. ...Read more
not really: Valium (diazepam) is a benzodiazepine tranquilizer. Although it helps with sleep, it is mainly for anxiety and muscle relaxation, and can be taken during the day if prescribed that way. Ambien (zolpidem) is chemically different, only used for sleep, never during the day, and is not a tranquilizer (anxiety reducer). Valium is also habit-forming, Ambien less so (but can be too). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Prescribed or not?: If you are on prescribed benzodiazepines, your doctor and pharmacist should be the best ones to give you advice, since they know your medical history and all the medications you are on, and I do not. If they are NOT prescribed, you shouldn't be taking them. Valium is very rapidly acting and should be enough to help you sleep without the ambien (zolpidem). If not prescribed, this is abuse. Talk to counselor. ...Read more
What are the most common symptoms and effects when Valium 10mg and Ambien (zolpidem) 10mg are combined for a single time use, and what is the average duration?
Wow: I'd avoid that combination. Valium is relatively short acting. Ambien (zolpidem) should only be taken if you have a window of 8 hours where you expect to be asleep. Have somebody keep an eye on you to make sure you don't get in trouble (respiratory suppression, sleep walking etc). Realize that Ambien (zolpidem) is for occasional use (insomnia). Valium is a skeletal muscle relaxer / sedative. (occasional use mostly) ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I took an Valium 5mg tablet and Hydroxyzine HCl 25mg at 6pm can I take my 10mg Ambien (zolpidem) now 1030pm?
Ambien (zolpidem): Ambien (zolpidem) should be taken no longer than a few days in a row. You need to coordinate your care with one MD if you have access to 3 different CNS depressant medications. Respiratory depression can occur. Also all have withdrawal states and can precipitate clinical depression. ...Read more
I ambien (zolpidem). It calms and relaxes me and I feel like myself. Valium works no where nearly as well. Doesn't make me sleepy. This mean anything?
Took Ambien (zolpidem) 10mg for 2 year's. My dr changed me to 15mg diazapam. Not working for insomnia. If i already took the Valium 20mg can I take a 10mg ambien (zolpidem)?
NO -- please don't!: Please do not take valium and Ambien (zolpidem) at the same time! you could end up overly sedated. Also, valium is not meant to be a sleep medication anyway. Please tell your doctor about this. It sounds like insomnia is a very significant problem for you, and needs further investigation (maybe sleep study?). Both Ambien (zolpidem) ; valium produce tolerance, making long-term use very problematic overall. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
