Currently on 60mg temazepam and it takes so long to work. Ambien no longer works for me. Any suggestions on what could?
Go see ur family doc: Temazepam 60mg is way too much (30mg is max - see http://www.drugs.com/dosage/temazepam.html). Ambien (zolpidem) dose for women cut in half earlier this year b/c stays in system too long. Study published earlier this wk (http://www.bmj.com/content/349/bmj.g5205) linked benzodiazepine use to Alzheimer's disease. Do some research on sleep hygiene. Find other options for sleep. Now sounds like a good time to leave your doc a message about how Ambien has become ineffective (which is one of the many drawbacks of habit forming meds).
