The man I love and want to spend the rest of my life with sends me into depression with his selfish attitude. Is there a way to help myself without having to leave him?
See a therapist: It would be very important for you to work with a therapist directly about this. You seem to recognize how your partner's behavior affects you -- have you discussed this with him? Could he hear you, and has this resulted in any change? You may become a lot healthier as a result of psychotherapy, and care better for yourself. Such changes inspire some -- not all -- partners to want to grow also. ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers

Sometimes I go for weeks only sleeping 1-6 hours a night but I feel well rested. I am bipolar but I don't feel manic or depressed. Is that normal?
Manic: Supposedly, it proves the point that manic shows in the behavior (barely sleeping) and is not felt as a problem ("I don't feel manic"). Help me understand this. Stress test says t wave liability at rest t wave inversion during recovery non diagnostic for ischemia. St depression <1mm ??

Why do I have urges to self-harm when my depression acts up? I mean, I cope just fine the rest of the time, and I can resist the urges (my therapist knows about this) but why do they happen?
I think the reason,: at least partly,is that your body releases its own pain killer, when you hurt yourself. This gives you temporary relief from pain, even emotional pain. Thus, you feel some relief. You should seek the help of a Psychiatrist to help treat your Depression. This way,you won't get so depressed, not be in such pain, and reduce these urges of self-harm.The rest of us(humanity)needs you to be ok.We want you to be. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
