Avoid laxitives: The pain could be caused by the senecot, which i would avoid. Make sure you are taking in plenty of fiber. You might try a stool softener, like colace (docusate sodium) or surfak and avoid stimulating laxatives. For diarrhea, try drinking some gatoraid. A few suggestions: If you haven't tried any agents, the easiest on the stomach is MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) or its generic equivalent. Also milk of magnesia works as well, but can give stomach cramps. Be sure to drink lots of fluid/water, as dehydration makes constipation worse.
