Castellani solution: If your pharmacy or chemist does not have it, they can make or obtain it. Get the clear, modified version. It will clear very quickly. Your product was worth a try but is not much good. Balanitis is due to tiny amount of URINE fermenting under your foreskin. Rinse off daily, best in a shower. Always blot or wash off the last drop of urine after you go. A circumcision will end the problem. ...Read more

Need treatment: Hi Joseph, This has to be uncomfortable. Have you been circumcised? If not you should seriously consider it because the condition usually progresses and removing the foreskin usually takes care of the problem. I wouldn't think: the chances are high...those ulcerated lesions are very commonly present in herpes. Balanitis is swelling and inflammation of the foreskin. It's main cause is suboptimal hygiene in the uncircumcised. Symptoms will usually resolve when you rinse (unscented) soap completely off the penis. Low dose OTC topical steroid or anti fungal cream may help. Rarely are other antibiotics needed. USE CONDOMS! ...Read more
