Treat the H.pylori: If helicobacter pylori has been documented in association with your ulcer, then treatment of it is requisite. Not treating this bacteria places you at risk for ulcer non-healing, ulcer recurrence, & even stomach cancer. There are a number of antibiotic combinations that work quite effectively in eradicating the infection but all of them have side effects & are pretty strong to fight this tough bug.

What are the best treatments for h pylori?

What are the best treatments for h pylori?

Antibiotics+PPI: H.Pylori is a bacteria that infects the stomache lining. The symptoms are usually upper abdominal pain and burning sensation, dyspepsia or gastritis. It can cause peptic ulcer disease and even stomache cancers. It can be cured by combination antibiotic treatment with amoxicillin, metronidazole, biaxin (clarithromycin) along with a proton pump inhibitor such as pantaprozole or omipprazole given for 10 to 14 days.

Two failed treatments for h pylori. Now a third with tetracycline. If it doesn't work what next? Husband tested positive going to do a first treatment

Its possible you &: ...your husband have been passing the infection back and forth. It's critical that you both eradicate the H.pylori organism with simultaneous treatment. Stay the course, make sure you and he both complete your full antibiotic regimen, then both get checked to ensure that H.pylori is gone.

Can high grade dyspasia be "cured" by h. Pylori treatment? Or is this the first step?

Dysplasia of what?: To what organ are you referring that exhibits high grade dysplasia--esophagus, stomach, colon, cervix, etc.? H.Pylori treatment is useful early on in addressing malt lymphoma of the stomach--is this the point of your question?

Is it normal to get regularilly constapated after treatment for h pylori, stil have most of symptoms and finished course 1 week ago?

Is it normal to get regularilly constapated after treatment for h pylori, stil have most of symptoms and finished course 1 week ago?

You took antibiotics: ...That killed off more that just h.Pylori. Your normal bacterial flora of the gut, both bacterial mass as well as composition, was likely altered. Perhaps, during the course of antibiotics you also modified your diet since some h.Pylori regimens are unpleasant to take. Consider starting a probiotic of your choice, optimize dietary fibers, drink more fluids. Still a problem, then see your doctor.

After taking prevpack triple therapy for 14days, if no more h pylori symptoms do I still need to test again? If so how long after the treatment?

Probably not: If you desire confirmatory testing it can be performed at virtually any time after a presumptive successful course of therapy. Good luck.

Doing10day h.Pylori treatment, with 2fases 5day esomeprazol+amoxitocin, and next 5 day eso+cloritrocimin+metronidazol, removed metro is still effective?

H Pylori: Most of the standard courses if therapy for hpylori involve 7-14 days of three medications for the full treatment period. In the course that you describe, Metronidazole will not maintain an adequate blood level to be effective throughout the second give days if treatment. Assure from your doctor that the treatment course is indeed as you have outlined here.

Can h. Pylori recur after treatment?

Can h. Pylori recur after treatment?

Maybe...: Reinfection with h. Pylori in an adult is unlikely based on what is understood about its transmission. Recrudescence of the infection may occur if the antibiotics did not completely eradicate the bacteria. The antibiotic regimens have a reported 80 - 90% eradication rate.

How soon after starting treatment for h pylori should I see improvement in symptoms?

It depends: Usually treating the H pylori does not make symptoms improve. What it will do is help either the gastritis or the ulcer to heal, which can improve symptoms. Accordingly, it takes some time, usually a minimum of a few weeks, to begin to feel any difference. Hope this helps.
