Other treatments include inhaled medicines such as albuterol, ipratopium, tiotropium, and inhaled steroids (there are several of them). Patients who are very symptomatic benefit from systemic steroids and antibiotics. Make sure your immunizations are up to date including yearly flu vaccine. Could certainly be.: Smoking when you have lungs that are already chronically damaged is simply careless. Smoking after having had cancer at such a young age is even more careless. Not sure...: I'm not sure I understand your question. COPD is not typically a disease diagnosed in infancy! There is a form of COPD, Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency, which is caused by an enzyme deficiency and can be diagnosed at an earlier age.
