It is not safe: Taking that much of an opiate can be deadly if not under the care of an experienced MD, preferably a pain specialist. According to the CDC, accidental deaths due to opiates (hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine) cause 44 deaths PER DAY! This is an epidemic, so it is pretty safe to say that opiates are NOT safe medications unless under the CLOSE supervision of a Dr! http://www.cdc.gov/drugoverdose/epidemic/index.html ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
