Alprazolam Overdose Treatment
most likely not: Anytime you take more of a drug than you are prescribed, it is considered an overdose. I doubt that you were prescribed 5 Atarax (hydroxyzine) together to be takenwith 2 alprazolam. Those 2 meds are both very sedating and together could possibly make you sleep for a long time, but i don't think it would hurt you if that was all you took. However if you drank alcohol or added other meds to that, it be dangerous! ...Read more

My new Dr. since I moved will not continue Xanax (alprazolam) treatment despite steadily increasing BP unaffected by anti hypertensives. Do I need Xanax (alprazolam) again?
Need diff BP meds: Xanax (alprazolam) is not used to treat hypertension. Xanax (alprazolam) is used to treat anxiety, not Hypertension. If your current BP meds are not controlling your BP, you need to determine if you are first taking them at the right time. If so, you might need a higher dose or perhaps a different type of BP meds. Speak with your new doctor to help you. But to answer your last question, no you don't need Xanax (alprazolam) again for BP ...Read more
Go very, very slowly: Xanax (alprazolam) is extremely addictive and it's half-life very short so you should decrease your dose very, very, very slowly to reduce the likelihood of experiencing withdrawal anxiety. To tide you through the difficult days/weeks ahead, try temporarily supplementing with another anti-anxiety drug (like klonopin) that has a longer half-life so that you don't then keep going into withdrawal. Good luck. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I wrote earlier bout a friend mom with the Xanax (alprazolam) and dines her mom refused treatment she wants to kino if u kino now long it will take her 2 pass hr50?
Confusing question: I'm sorry but i was able to understand everything except the "hr50" part of the question? If you are asking about passing a drug screen, xanax (alprazolam) will show up for up to a week or more but if is a prescription medicine, then she has nothing to worry about as her doctor will give her a note stating that she is authorized to take it. If that is not your question please re-write it a little clearer. ...Read more

I am currently taking xanax, (alprazolam) 2 mgs daily, and want to start Suboxone (buprenorphine) treatment, at a low dose. Is this combination safe?
Yes.: It sounds like your question is the safety of the combination, not the wisdom of it. If you are currently addicted to opioids—the only reason to start Suboxone—Suboxone is a safe replacement for the opioid. Discuss Xanax (alprazolam) use with the doc treating your addiction.
