Alprazolam And Fluoxetine
Natural ways to treat anxiety disorder? Already tried alprazolam, fluoxetine and others which names I don't remember.
Psychotherapy: A variety of psychotherapies work for anxiety disorders, but they take a while to accomplish. There are herbal medications used for anxiety, like chamomile, valerian and green tea. A holistic health practitioner can probably better advise you as to those. Meditative techniques, mindfulness, therapeutic imagery, progressive muscle relaxation techniques and others also can be helpful. ...Read more

Can fluoxetine 20 or alprazolam 0.5 intensify propranolol's effect? I meant, can it intensify propranolol's side effects? Can these 3drugs cause death
Multiple medications: These 3 medications can work together safely if taken as prescribed ; you're seeing your doctor regularly. Prozac and Alprazolam may increase potential blood pressure-lowering effects of propanolol. Prozac may also decrease clearance of alprazolam, or increase its concentration -- leading to more drowsiness than expected. All these medications do need careful monitoring by your doctor. ...Read more

Interactions?: No formal interactions between fluoxetine (SSRI), strattera, propranolol, & Xanax (benzodiazepine). No: Alprazolam is an benzodiazepine and may cause birthdefects. Prozac used to be considered safe, but recently there are reports of abnormal muscle tone and irritability in the infants. No drugs are good in pregnancy I fear. I am 62 and on 10mg of Prozac and .25mg of xanax, is it okay to have a glass of wine once in a while?
YES, usually!: Because xanax (alprazolam) is a tranquilizer that binds to the same receptor complex in the brain as ethanol (alcohol), they can amplify each other's effects! i've seen people who usually have no problem with a glass of wine or two, fall face down in their plate after taking a tranquilizer beforehand! so you must be very careful... But, generally, one glass of red wine (has resveritol) is good 4u! ...Read more
Thinking of asking for Buspar, so I don't have to be on Xanax, added to my Prozac and maybe an up on my dose (20 to 30). Thoughts?
Anxiety: Buspirone is approved for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder and is sometimes used off-label for other anxiety disorders and depression. For some patients it is very effective. Higher doses of an SSRI such as fluoxetine (Prozac) are often effective for anxiety. I would ask your physician about both of these changes, but DO NOT stop the Xanax on your own, this can be very dangerous. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
