yes: I think Alpha lipoic acid is an excellent supplement if you are taking a high quality product. Some products have a lot of added ingredients and fillers which make them undigestable and possibly toxic. Ala helps with Insulin metabolism, and liver detoxification. Its a good antioxidant as well, which helps your overall health. The dosage varies depending on your condition. ...Read more

Almost certainly: Alpha lipoic acid is always in our bodies as we synthesize it. It's very safe without serious side effects. Like most supps. Research hasn't been done on pregnant ; lactating women so its safety for such people "has not been established" but I have no reason to believe it wouldn't be safe; there's no evidence to suggest it would be hazardous. Analysis: Why do you take all these items?. Where did you find such advice? Glutathione is a wonderful anti-oxidant, but does NOT cross into the brain, so of questionable value in bloodstream. Milk thistle extract has questionable benefit in most cases. Alpha lipoic useful in peripheral and central nerve disorders. You are far better off using mixed tocopherols, especially with gamma.
