Sore throat, no energy.. I am taking clarithromycin & ibuprofen ( doctor prescrebtion) can i add alpha-amylase for my sore throat? (Maxilase)

Not pancreatitis: a normal or low amylase would make it unlikely that you have pancreatitis which is a cause of upper abdominal pain. It may be a stomach or duodenal ulcer causing your pain. See a GI doctor: This may be one of several diagnoses, but without examining you there is no way in which to tell. I went to the ER for abdominal pains on the left side and back. It felt like gas. I have gallstones and my amylase ia elevated by 19 points. The doctor says don't worry. Can it be a gb attack?
Pancreatitis: It sounds like you have gallstones that led to a bout of pancreatitis (we cleverly call this: gallstone pancreatitis). Is it serious? ER xray = swollen intestine left side. Have ULQ, epig. & back pain, diarrhea, nausea. Labs ok except amylase/WBC high. UA = dehydration
I take risperidone. It has cognitive sideffects due to anticholinergic activity. What can I do to treat it? Will Alpha GPC, choline or lecithin help?
Dose of Risperdone: important. See more anticholinergic side effects at doses greater than 1 mg. Parkinsonism above mg. Concomitant use of Ginko may worsen situation. Ginko has not shown to improve long term cogntive issues. One study in China with concomitant use of Risperdal has been completed but results are unavailable at this time. Another study looking at use of Risperdal with Ginko in autism showed no benefit. ...Read more
