Hi I take my contraceptive pill at approx 7pm, I want to take aloe Vera colon cleanse tablets and it is to be taken Before bed, will the pill work?
Yes: I assume ur bedtime is later than 9pm. If so, 2+ hours should provide enough time for ur contraceptive pill to be absorbed through ur GI tract and passed through your liver. Obviously, the later the better. My questions is why are u using an Aloe Vera colon cleanse tablet? Eating a high fiber healthy diet, exercising regularly and drinking plenty of water is a better way to keep ur colon clean ...Read more
Aloe gel, made from the central part of the aloe leaf, is a common household remedy for minor cuts and burns, as well as sunburns. It can be found in many commercial skin lotions and cosmetics. Aloe contains active compounds that may decrease pain and inflammation and stimulate skin growth and repair. For this reason, aloe vera gel has gained tremendous popularity for relief of burns, with individual success in helping minor burns. In one study, burn sites treated with aloe healed completely in less than 16 days compared to 19 days for sites treated with silver sulfadiazine. In a review of the scientific literature, researchers found that patients who were treated with aloe vera healed an average of almost 9 days sooner than those who weren't treated with the medicinal plant. However, other studies show mixed results, including at least one study that found aloe actually delayed healing. Aloe is best used for minor burns and skin irritations, and should never be applied ...Read more

Colon Cleanse: You have posed a great question which I commonly get asked in my practice. Colon cleanses are not necessary to cleanse your colon. In fact, some over the counter colon cleanses may lead to a condition called Melanosis Coli which is seen during a Colonoscopy. Eating a nutritious high fiber diet will help with proper bowel function. Consult with your Proctologist about your specific condition. ...Read more

Can you clarify?: "Colon cleanses" are scams that target good, ordinary people and give them the idea that they need to remove "toxic bowel settlement" or something equally imaginary. It doesn't.: The idea of colon cleansing is based on a misunderstanding of anatomy & physiology. Your colon is actually outside of you. You actually surround a space through which foods pass & excrement is produced. The body takes care of its own cleansing if you have a proper diet & fluid intake. Colonic treatment is outlawed in certain states because in the wrong hands has led to bowel perforation & death. ...Read more

Support the body and it will detox on its own! ...Read more
Not helpful: Cleansing of the colon is a common prescription by alternative medical practitioners for a variety of GI and other problems.
