Is it safe to drink soy milk and pasteurized goats milk? I am 11 weeks pregnant.

Is it safe to drink soy milk and pasteurized goats milk? I am 11 weeks pregnant.

Only organic soy;but: Goat milk is perfectly safe. There are some concerns about soy because it has isoflavones that act like estrogens, but research suggests it's safe during pregnancy. But i advise not drinking much during the first trimester to be extra cautious ; i strongly advise avoiding milk made with gmo soy, which is almost all soy that is not labeled organic. Can I drink almond, coconut, soy or lactaid milk before a colonoscopy?

Can I drink almond, coconut, soy or lactaid milk before a colonoscopy?

It's not advisable: Instructions for prepping before a colonoscopy suggest CLEAR liquids, which would exclude any form of milk. The fats in milk, which make it appear creamy, could obscure something along the lining of the bowel if not perfectly prepped. Clear liquids are WATER, fruit juices without pulp (apple, white grape), lemonade, carbonated soda, gelatin, clear broth, tea/coffee without cream. Good luck! ...Read more

Can i give my infant baby s-26 milk , he had g6pd and rhis milk contain soya bean oil?

Can i give my infant baby s-26 milk , he had g6pd and rhis milk contain soya bean oil?

I do not recommend: G6pd exists in different forms with different severity. Mild forms of the condition might tolerate soya bean oil where severe forms of the disease probably would not tolerate it. Given alternative formulas that would not have potential for hemolysis, i would recommend not using s-26 for your infant. ...Read more

Here, the women take a prenatal multivitamin (has higher Folic Acid and iron amounts, compared with a regular multivitamin). Women are asked to eat a healthy, well-balanced diet. If they take omega-3 fatty acids, those are usually taken as fish oil capsules. Fresh milk here can be fat-free, 1% fat, etc... ...Read more
