How can I tell if I have an allergic reaction to lavender oil?

If there is a welt of blister, you have suggestive evidence. Uncertain - see an allergist/immunologist. ...Read more

If I have a nut allergy n eat something w walnut leaf oil can I hve an allergic reaction such as a migrain? Isamigrain a form of an allergic reaction?

Is it possible the canola oil can cause inflammation of the gums and or allergic reaction in the mouth?

Unlikely: In theory anything we eat or drink could cause gum inflammation due to an allergic response, but not likely. Ate spaghetti squash (w/olive oil, goat cheese, salt, pepper). Nose swollen inside, sinusdrainage, asthma. Allergic to squash?!? Other food allergies.

Food allergy: If you ate the squash and had an immediate reaction (minutes to 2hrs) that included hives, swelling, shortness of breath, wheeze, throat tightness, vomiting or passing out then I would be concerned for a food allergy reaction. Would make an appointment with an allergist to determine what could be the culprit foods. Bring list of ingredients eaten that meal to appointment. Avoid foods until seen. ...Read more

Can 2/3 drops of undiluted peppermint oil, and the same amount of undiluted lavender oil, cause any serious systemic effects when applied topically?

Can 2/3 drops of undiluted peppermint oil, and the same amount of undiluted lavender oil, cause any serious systemic effects when applied topically?

Depends.: If you are putting it on an open sore or cracked skin, it may not help and may make things worse. Any break in the skin increases absorption into the system of anything put on the skin. Also, a person can be allergic to either one and that is bad, too and this can have systemic effects. For the proper use of herbal products, make sure there is good, unbiased, ad-free research to justify it. ...Read more
