Allergic Reaction To Bupropion Sr
Thick white discharge. Looks like toilet paper. No odor. No itching. What could this be? Got it after i came off wellbutrin (bupropion). Had an allergic reaction.
Allergies occur when your immune system is triggered by envirionmental factors it should ignore--for example, pollen in the air, or dander on a cat or dog--and creates cells to fight against them. An allergic reaction typically causes itching, congestion, or drainage, and ...Read more
I take Prozac 20mg and wellbutrin (bupropion) XR 150mg once a day. Is it safe to take claritin-d for my allergies while on these meds?
After DRESS syndrome felt due to a spinal orthopedic implant, the implant was removed but the patient developed body aches, electrical sensation.....?
Cobalt Chrome Allergy: This is a difficult situation as removal of the implants does not mean that all of the cobalt has been removed. I am aware of two types of facet replacement and both utilize metal on metal technology that will result in metal and ionic debris that can still persist after the implants have been removed. Given the severity of your symptoms, small amounts of retained cobalt in scar tissue around the implants is likely the source of continued symptoms and there are no reliable methods to eradicate any remaining metal deposits. The lateral thigh symptoms are consistent with compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerves and the most common cause is from positioning during lumbar surgery in the prone position. ...Read moreSee 7 more doctor answers

Tried celexa, made anxiety worse, sister tried it, same reaction. She had success w/ wellbutrin (bupropion) said it works differently, could this help me?
NO: Usually people with anxiety D/O's are more sensitive to side effects. Antidepressants that modulate anxiety (Wellbutrin (bupropion) is not one of them) need to be started and up titration at much smaller dosages. I.e. Citalopram 50mg and in some people 2mg, then gradually medicine is tolerated better. Good luck and feel better. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I just had a severe reaction to bupropion HCl 300mg which required a visit to emergency room. I only took 1. Should I just stop taking it?
Bupropion AE: You don't mention what the reaction was or what you were prescribed bupropion to treat (smoking cessation? -- usually is XL 150mg. Depression?), or what the adverse effect you experienced was. Check the instructions provided to you by the ER. They should indicate what meds to stop or continue, and when you should see ur prescribing doc. If you can't find these, ring the ER & your doc. Be Well! ...Read more

Which would be less likely to result in discontinuation syndrome: Wellbutrin + an SSRI or Effexor (venlafaxine) XR?
If you're asking : about potential withdrawal symptoms, you need to call your PCP first. Otherwise you may not be feeling well if you do this cold turkey. Any of the SSRIs or antidepressants have this issue, if you've been taking it chronically for a long time. If you just started, this may not be as big of a problem. So call your doctor first. ...Read more

Tried ssri/xanax for depression/anxiety, bad reactions. I heard wellbutrin (bupropion) works on different brain chemicals than ssri's. Can wellbutrin (bupropion) help?
Wellbutrin (bupropion): Wellbutrin does work on different neurotransmitters than SSRI's - specifically norepinephrine and dopamine. That said, you mentioned using Xanax (alprazolam) in the past - and Wellbutrin does have an "activating" effect for many people. So, it's probably not the best option for you. I'd suggest seeing a psychiatrist to talk over all of the options available (sometimes dosing is the key). Good luck! ...Read more
Currently on 450mg bupropion SR, if I take an extra dose of 150mg as a one-off, would that help me stay awake to pull n all nighter n fnsh my assgnmnt?
I'm taking 20mg of citalopram once a day and bupropion sr 150mg once every morning, is it ok to cold turkey these drugs n if not how?
Cital no, buprop yes: Stopping either or both of these should be done in consultation with your prescribing doctor. There may be less drastic dose adjustments and alternative treatments to consider, etc. However, to answer your question, bupropion usually can be stopped cold turkey, while citalopram is best decreased gradually to avoid discontinuation (withdrawal) syndrome. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
