Cervical radiculopathy: Sounds like it could be related to a cervical radiculoapathy. Radiculopathy symptoms can wax and wane over the years causing a variety symptoms including numbness, pain, and weakness. Consider MRI of cervical spine and electrodiagnostic studies of the upper extremities. While a cervical radiculopathy can caused muscle spasms, you typically don't see 'spasticity'. Radiculopathy would be a lower motor neuron condition as opposed to upper motor neuron. Does the patient have increased reflexes and positive Hoffman's test? No effect: Aspirin should have no affect on your food allergies. It could cause GI upset, gastritis, etc. But that would not be related to your allergies unless you had pre existing gastritis, which it could worsen.
