Rash (Definition)

Most bumps and blotches on a newborn baby are harmless and clear up by themselves. By far the most common skin problem in infants is diaper rash. Diaper rash is an irritation of the skin caused by dampness, urine, or feces. Most babies who wear diapers will have some type of diaper rash. However, there are other skin disorders that can cause rashes. These are usually not serious unless ...Read more

Hi I'm maria and I suffer itchy and burning hands and feet to the point it swells up ...idk if its a sign of a change of my allergies.. But I want to know how I can handle it especially during the summer..

Hard to know: Is there a rash? Does it usually worsen during the summer? Can you describe the allergies? In general, seasonal or food allergies do not cause isolated cutaneous symptoms on the hands and feet. A metabolic, toxic or nutritional neuropathy can cause hands/feet burning without rash. Insect exposure at night (if only the hands/ feet, head are exposed) might present this way. Just thoughts. ...Read more

Got itchy burning itchy/sensation in skin especially ears, dr said could b allergic reaction 2 penicillin which i took in april, im still experiencin ?

Not penicillin: Allergic reactions to a drug do not last for this long. If not, you should see another doctor preferably a dermatologist. ...Read more

I have red bumps on my both handas nd wrist and now it is spreading my other hand. They are not itchy, different sizes. Don't think allergic reaction?

Hand rash: Diagnosing a rash without a picture is very difficult, and what you're describing can be many things. We think in broad categories - like an allergic reaction to something you might have come in contact with (sometimes hard to remember exact thing), a mild eczematous reaction (even if it doesn't itch), a fungal infection, bug bites. Let your doc know if it's getting worse! ...Read more
