I had an allergic reaction to epoxy resin for crafts, how long before a cortisone shot clears up a severe rash on my hands and wrists?

Contact dermatitis: It really depends on several factors. Did you get all of the material off your skin? How long was it in contact with your skin? Had are recent allergic reaction to cipro! Lasted about 4 months, am fine now. Need a cortisone shot for swollen vocal chords, is it safe?

Doubtful: I'd great doubt that the 4-month long "allergic reaction" was from cipro (ciprofloxacin). As for your swollen vocal cord, have you seen an ENT doctor on this condition? If it is just a one-time thing, cortisone may be ok but whether it works or not is another issue. If it is a recurrent problem, then you need to consult an allergist since throat swelling can be a life-threatening event. ...Read more
