Allegra D Vs Zyrtec D Vs Claritin D
Allegra (fexofenadine) 180 mg: Zyrtec may cause drowsiness. Allegra (fexofenadine) does not cross into the brain and should not cause drowsiness. The "d" component is a decongestant and may cause insomnia, decreased appetite, high blood pressure and in men - urinary difficulties due to prostate issues so I do not prefer the Allegra (fexofenadine)-D products. Well : Well presence of allergies, hyper inflated lungs on cxr and dyspnea suggest asthma. You can have normal pfts (pulmonary function tests) ad still have asthma.I am not sure you have been tried on but usually you need blood test or skin test for allergies and a total ige level ( blood test). You could try inhalers on regular basis for example advair or Dulera (formoterol and mometasone) on twice a day basis and see if this will help you symptomatically. Some times treatment of asthma can become difficult and will need some patience at your and your doctors end. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Allergy meds: Hello. Allergy medication like zyrtec, Allegra and Claritin (loratadine) help with the symptoms of allergy. The dose for an adult is 180 mg for allegra, 10 mg for Claritin (loratadine) and 10 mg for zyrtec. If you take all these meds on the same day, an increase in dryness as well as sedation will likely occur. There are other medications to help with your allergies. See your doctor. ...Read more
Depends, somewhat: Pollen chamber study done yrs ago typical: when pollen blown directly into the faces of allergic patients, both measured symptoms and patient complaints show Zyrtec better, faster; Claritin (loratadine) slower, worse. Allegra, a close 2nd. But: FDA felt only Zyrtec was effective enough to advertise for animal allergies (remember the barking dog in the ad?). Note: I'm not affiliated with any of these products. ...Read moreSee 7 more doctor answers

All r created equal: But one might be more convenient (equal) to a patient than another, as different patients respond differently to different drugs, that's what they call: pharmacogenetics, a relatively new science that can tell how patients would respond to different drugs, bit expensive though to be tried on every medicine, so trial and error would be the way to go for now, good luck ...Read more
