Would you recommend surgery for severe medial epicondylitis.? I have tried cortisone, art therapy, aleve, (naproxen) voltaren cream, and rest for the last 2 mo
Lateral (tennis elbow) or medial (golfer's elbow) epicondylitis are common overuse injuries. In order to treat the pain, I recommend patients start w/ rice, follow w/ stretching/ strengthening (therapy), & consider couterforce bracing. If these treatments fail you may be a candidate for cortisone or prp injections. Some people end up needing surgery.
