How do I prevent migraine from striking me. Its been yrs now. Is there any type of food or alcohol i need to stop taking? Any pill recommendation?

Hi. I get extremely sick after i drink alcohol. Even 2 glasses of wine gives me a hang- over that lasts for hrs. Vomiting, direaha and migraine.
I have been prescribed topomax for migraines. Are you really not able to have any alcohol while being on this?
Just go easy: Some migraines are provoked by alcohol, especially red wine. If one of your adverse effects from topamax is sedation, the alcohol will make it far worse. What could be causing headaches and migraines almost everyday? I'm 27 years old and don't smoke, drink alcohol or drink coffee.
Control measures: Are available, but at age 60 some of our meds are risky. If hypertension or heart disease is present, would avoid triptans, and perhaps select dolovent (otc) to stop the headache.
