Alcohol After Accutane
Anytime really: Just be responsible with it like you normally would.
How long do I have to wait to start drinking alcohol after my Accutane treatment. Doesn't it take a month or two to get out of your system?
You are only 17: You are under age to drink alcohol in united states. But if it is a theoretical question then I will answer it. You are advised not to drink alcohol with Accutane as there can be liver toxicity as both can affect the liver. If one has stopped using Accutane and want to drink alcohol, there is no contraindication as long as the liver functions were normal
Absolutely not: Most people who start up on Accutane pledge not to take alcohol during the course of their treatment, for the sake of your liver and overall health. This is a remarkable medicine that's going to give you a new life without the liability of severe acne. Start it off right by keeping your promise and protecting your health.
Alcohol & Accutane: Drinking alcohol and taking Accutane can cause increased liver enzymes in which case the doctor would have to stop the accutane. Accutane can have several side effects. Drinking alcohol while using Accutane can worsen some of these side effects. For the benefit of your health limiting your alcohol consummation while on Accutane is best.

I heard that in vinegar, there exists about 0.3 - 0.5% alcohol by producer. Can I use a little bit of rice vinegar in my diet when I am on accutane?
Can I use vinegar (contains 5% acetic acid) in my diet when I am taking accutane? I'm scared that vinegar will be harmful to liver as alcohol.
Is eating foods that have derived from alcohol or having been extracted using alcohol count as alcohol while off accutane? Will I relapse with acne?
Alcohol interacts: With so many meds and supplements that it's best not to combine it with anything, specifically since Accutane has an Antabuse (disulfiram) effect while taking alcohol that could make you feel really sick to your stomach. Also, it will make Accutane less effective. Two negatives. So since you want Accutane to work, it's best to go alcohol-free for now.
The concern is..: That you have a much higher chance of developing pancreatitis, which is very painful and debilitating, if you drink while taking the Accutane, even just for a night. There is also concern for the effect on your liver as both drugs are processed through the liver. One drink may be ok, but you are taking chances past that. (Happy Birthday!)
Feeling occasional pain in kidney. Used Accutane for 6 months. Blood test good for HCG and related. Never drank alcohol.?
Accutane: I doubt the pain is related to the Accutane. I would see your doctor, describe your symptoms and let the workup progress from there.
Don't do it: When you started up on accutane, you probably made a promise not to drink alcohol while you're taking it, to be good to your liver. You'd do well to keep this promise. Congratulations on your courage to take this medicine and clear your acne. It's a brave start to a new life. Why go into it goofy from smoking "weed" -- even if it's legal where you live?See 1 more doctor answer
