Ask your doctor: Yes, you may be correct. Your doctor may be looking for something else with a more detailed test. Communicate. If you cannot and it is because of your doctor, find a new one. Good luck and hope this works out. ...Read more

Low hb, low total protein and albumin in blood but no protein in urine.Swelling in both legs.Iron deficiency anemia present. What cloud be the reson?

See below: 1. You need to have your GI ract evaluated for blood loss which can cause iron deficency. Then you need iron replacement. 2. Your leg swelling is probably due to a low albumin. You need to find out why your Albumin is low-it could be a kidney or liver problem or severe malnutrition. You need to discuss this with a doctor. Hi, im being tested for celiac/ibd because of gi symptoms. My Bilirubin is raised 34 (normal <21) my albumin is 44 and globulin is 19. My IgA is 0.8?

Blood tests: There are a few diseases that leap out from blood tests. Most of the time, however, blood tests don't tell the doctor much on their own. These results fall into the second group, not very specific, and not compelling for celiac disease. Good health to you. ...Read more

CSF IgG is 2.6, CSF Albumin is 28, CFS IgG/Albumin Ratio is 9%. Could this indicate MS or Lyme Disease if clinically the symptoms fit?

CSF IgG is 2.6, CSF Albumin is 28, CFS IgG/Albumin Ratio is 9%. Could this indicate MS or Lyme Disease if clinically the symptoms fit?

Test results: The IGG Index requires a comparison to the IGG in blood and CSF. It is a nonspecific test for inflammatory diseases like those you referred to. What were the blood levels? A better test for MS is CSF oligoclonal bands. Do you have that? Along with an MRI result? For Lyme disease you would want a CSF ELISA or Western blot for Lyme proteins. Hope that helps. ...Read more

Medical evaluation n: Further medical evaluation is needed. You did not say what color is your urine? If it is dark but yellow it may simply reflect dehydration which leads to concentrated urine looking dark.. But blood or excess of Bilirubin in the urine can also cause Urine to be dark brown or black. It is not difficult to find the cause of your illness with the help of further tests chosen by a good Doctor. ...Read more

UTI: these finding are consistent with a urinary tract infection. I suggest a urine culture and antibiotic therapy from your treating physician. If you are having unprotected sexual intercourse get tested for STD exposure. Think-CONDOMS plus spermicidal foam, jelly, sponges, ovules, BC pills or IUD. Only latex/vinyl condoms will protect you against HIV. ...Read more

WBC on UA: The serum albumin and GFR seem fine, but you have some WBC and leukocyte esterase in the urine. Could be a subtle infection. Could be an inflammatory condition of the bladder or kidney. Should be investigated. ...Read more

How severe is an albumin of 5.4? Please describe severity of symptoms? Crippling fatigue, pulsating symptoms, severe headaches, eye pain, nausea?

None of the above: I hope it doesn't disappoint you greatly to let you know that your Albumin levels are considered quite within the normal range. Of course, lab values do vary from one laboratory to another therefore, it would be best to find out the normal range in the laboratory you had the blood drawn or tested but for all intents and purposes the range of normal for Albumin is taken to be 3.5 to 5.5. ...Read more
