Hi my mom just did a nlood test and the results are
HDL 35 Mg/dl
LDL 103Mg/dl
Albumin (+) (traces in urine)
Are they related in some way please help?

No: The results of cholesterol in the blood have no relation with the urine results. HDL is borderline low and LDL is slightly high, depending on the reference ranges of the lab you used. Also you did not mention how high the total cholesterol is, and if there is family history of heart disease. Trace albumin in the urine is commonly seen, not significantmay need repeat if your doctor is concerned. ...Read more

Meaning of a person has "traces" of albumin in their urine?

Kidney inflammation: Normal kidneys are not supposed to lose protein. Albumin is a form of protein. See a doctor to run more tests to prevent the condition from worsening. ...Read more

Proteinuria Rx: You have proteinuria which is not related to your kidney stones. Treatment of proteinuria (p) depends on its cause. Some glomuerlonephritis cases are treated with steroids and other agents to reduce p. Patients with diabetic nephropathy causing p are treated with ace-i, arb's and non-dhp calcium channel blockers. These also reduce BP which ameliorates p. Ask your doctor for a treatment plan for p. ...Read more
