? reflux: Often an under recognized cause of cough is GERD: gastroesophageal reflux disease. Stomach contents reflux up the esophagus and can irritate the throat, stimulating cough. OTC Pepcid works for this. Most often, a prolonged cough is multifactorial so the inhaler may be helping. Other strategies that often work are saline nasal washes, and steroid nasal spray. Suffering frm neck TB lymphadenitis. Is rifampin 600mg, INH 300 mg, ethambutol 1100 mg & pyrazinamide 1600mg correct dosage for a 77 kg weight.
TB treatment: You are being treated with 4 medications which is good - since it doesn't allow the TB bacteria any good chance of 'escaping' from the treatment. Hopefully only 1 drug is really needed- but I expect you may find that out in the future. Your ethambutol dose and pyrazinamide doses could be a little bit higher, but I am not worried. INH & Rif are the main drugs for treating this & they r dosed well. ...Read more

M 20 yr female TB lymphadenitis.prescribed R-cinex:Rifampin 450mg & isoniazid 300mg & pyzina 1000mg. Ethambutol not prescribed is my treatment correct?
TB treatment : we usually use Ethambutol as part of this regimen in case the TB is resistant to either Rifampin or isoniazid. If your doctor already knows which drugs the big is susceptible to, or if resistance rates are very low in your area, leave out the Ethambutol may be the correct treatment. You should discuss this issue with the prescribing doctor. ...Read more

TB lymphadenitis tx: Your doctor started you on the right 'combo' medicine for TB - Akurit contains 4 drugs to treat TB. TB can attack multiple organ systems, including the lymph nodes - so you need to follow thru and get this treated.
