The: The easiest way to do this is to call the physician you would like to see there (do it backwards, find a good doctor then get the insurance) and ask them about the plans they accept and then do the research which one of those would be best and most economical for you. This is probably a good universal rule to follow. Could dexamethasone sodium phosphate be used as a muscle building steroid?

Just the opposite: Dexamethasone is not an anabolic steroid. Taking it without a doctor's prescription will cause serious health problems, including cushing's syndrome. The person will gain abdominal weight, lose muscle from arms and legs, the immune system may become suppressed. Etc. Not desirable. Have diabetics almost 3 years now. I just arrived in USA & I used to take ZolidPlus 15mg 500mg and Amaryl (glimepiride) 1mg. Now I need similar medicine here in AK.

Amaryl is Amaryl here, most often sold as the generic glimepiride. How long does it take for an ak to turn into scc skin cancer? I've had one for ten years then it regressed should I be worried it spread?

No worry: Had actinic keratosis turned into cancer, you would have seen it at that site. AK does not spread into other organs.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.

How do you get rid of ak skin growths and bumps on your face and also skin tags. Is there a home remedy?

How do you get rid of ak skin growths and bumps on your face and also skin tags. Is there a home remedy?

Not really.: Ak stands for "actinic keratosis" - they are small crusty bumps caused by chronic sun damage. Dermatologists usually freeze them with liquid nitrogen; for severe cases a strong cream containing 5-FU or Imiquimod is used. Skin tags can be clipped off, or if they are large enough, you can tie a thread around each one to cut off blood supply. But most people (wisely, I think) let their doctor do this. ...Read more

Is 14 day carac cream treatment worth doing? I've been approved by my Dr. Who treated me for 2 small peeling AK areas. Any treatment advice?

Fluorouracil: This is worth doing if you have quite a few skin changes due to the sun - actinic keratoses, hyperpigmentations etc. It is not an easy treatment and can cause some discomfort and temp cosmetic changes. The ultimate result however, is nice and the skin will be rid of any of above changes and is usually quite smooth! Do not do if you have any social events or work presentations etc upcoming! ...Read more

When must I call my doctor if I am having an above the knee ak amputation?

When must I call my doctor if I am having an above the knee ak amputation?

Disturbing question.: If by 'my doctor', you mean your primary care internist or family practitioner, it is hard for me understand how that doc is already closely involved with your care. That you could ask the question underlies the most serious problem of our health care mess today: everyone should have a pcp directly or through a team overseeing and coordinating care. If we can achieve that, everything gets better. ...Read more

Don't be nervous: If you are not satisfied with the DR's descriptions, have another discussion with the Dr before you do it. There are various approaches to AK. PDT is certainly a good one, briefly annoying, but effective. You might ask to be presented with a few alternatives so you can choose one yourself. None of them are dangerous. ...Read more
