Do you think the world should strive for no air pollution someday?

No: We can minimize harm, and i'd hope we can make the air reasonably safe to breathe for everyone. Life's taught me that "zero-tolerance" never works. I would hate to live in a world that is so policed that I cannot relax around a campfire with my friends.

Remove it: You can actively limit or remove common offenders. Things like fragrance emitters, scented laundry detergent, perfume, fragrant fabric softeners, etc. All add to the background load of airborne particles. Keeping the humidity below 50% reduces dust mite growth. Using particle or electronic air filters also helps.
