I have been told I have subungual melanoma but its not in a line. Is this seriouse it has a dark spot at the bottom and is a brownie purple colour?

Yes and more: Melanoma may develop in an existing mole in which case one may see change in size, shape, border, pigmentation, bleeding, itchiness and ulceration etc. Melanoma can develop in normal skin and mucus membranes as well. Could melanoma be picked off? I picked a dark brown 4mm spot nothing there now besides some pink where it is healing. On leg 26male
Doubt melanoma but..: If you have the least concern of a melanoma, it needs to be seen. I suspect instead that you picked off a seborrheic keratosis -- melanomas really can't be picked off.
