Fever comes and goes: I suspect that you have a viral bronchitis. I would try plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, mucinex (guaifenesin) or Guafenesin 400 or 600 mg either 6 or 4 times a day (2400 mg a day) and acetaminophen or ibuprofen for the fever. The sensation of wanting to vomit is from swallowing mucus which irritates the stomach ...Read more

Unlikely: At this dose, I'd doubt hydrocortisone causes any noticeable effects. At a much much higher dose, cortisone may worsen your reflux leading to a dry cough. I don't believe they are related. ...Read more
