After Taking Cytotec Pregnancy Test Is Still Positive
@ 4wks pregnancy took cytotec (misoprostol) & had brown discharge @ 6wks pregnancy test was positive now @ 7 weeks had sex & had blood & brown discharge, wts wrong?
Cytotec (misoprostol): Use of the drug Cytotec (misoprostol) in pregnancy has been associated with some significant side effects, including effects on a pregnancy. It is unlikely the sex had anything to do with your symptoms, but I would consult your obstetrician about the bleeding. If you took Cytotec (misoprostol) to terminate the pregnancy, knowingly, it may have worked. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Misoporstol (Cytotec) is a labor inducer is a kind of women's health and pregnancy drug. Misoprostol is a medication that causes the uterus to contract. This can be used to induce labor. It is also used to help a miscarriage pass more quickly. It is either taken by mouth or as tablets placed into the vagina. Misoprostol causes significant cramping and, if it is used to pass a miscarriage, causes vaginal bleeding. This is a normal ...Read more

My period is two months late but pregnancy test is still negative. Have been getting strong positive OPK for a month. Have symptoms should I get an us?
PCOS: An OPK should only be positive for 1-2 days so the kit is incorrect. It means you have naturally high lh levels. Combined with the missed periods means most likely you have a disroder called polycystic ovarian syndrome. The OPK kits will most likely never work for you so you can save some money. But an evaluation by your obgyn is important. ...Read more
Would a very thin line still count as a positive pregnancy test? I'm finding its taking ages to produce a line and then it's just thin but visible.
Maybe: There is a "well" where the chemical that reacts with pregnancy hormone is placed. If you look closely, you can see the well even with negative tests. Also, if you leave the test out for awhile after a test, it will look positive. If there is doubt, you have 2 options: wait 2 or 3 days then the line will be really dark very quickly, or get a blood pregnancy test. ...Read more

I had a dnc 4 weeks ago and still sppoting. Today got my positive pregnancy test. Is it possible to be pregnant?
Probably not: You probably are not pregnant but may have microscopic portions of the placenta retained within your uterus. These small fragment known as chorionic villi with continue to produce bHCG giving you a positive test. See your doctor. They will want to follow your bHCG as it goes down. If it fails to go down you may need another DNC. Best of luck. ...Read more
I got a? on a first response pregnancy test. Does that mean there is still hcg present but not enough for a positive result?
Mommy, AreWeThereYet?: Maybe it means that you are pregnant and the baby has a question for you. Or, according to their instructions, it means there was an error in the test and that they want you to do the test again. Tests of various kinds often have to be repeated for that reason, a glitch in the mechanics of the test, or a faulty sample. But I kinda like the first idea. Think about what questions your baby might ask you ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Recently had positive pregnancy test was bleeding for three days 1st day heavy tested again was negative but could I still be pregnant?
Unlikely: If what you're saying is that you had a positive pregnancy test.... and then after that test you had 3 days of bleeding and then you took another test and it's negative, then likely you aren't pregnant anymore. You can take a confirmatory test (I'd wait 3-5 days), and make sure, but sounds like you miscarried. See a physician if you're worried or bleeding continues for > 7 days. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
