Helps but no cure: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications like Celebrex (celecoxib) relieve inflammatory symptoms including pain, swelling, stiffness, etc, but they only work as long as it is taken. If the problem is osteoarthritis, NSAID treatment might be the best option. If the underlying diagnosis is rheumatoid arthritis, etc, there may be better options for long term control of the problem. ...Read more

It depends: There are so many factors that can cause dizziness, or light-headedness. If you just started taking celebrex it could be related, however it could be that you are dehydrated, feeling ill, perhaps caught the flu. If you are getting a benefit from celebrex you may want to find ways you can keep taking it. This is definitely a conversation for your doctor that prescribed it. ...Read more

I want to stop taking Celebrex 200mg for my arthritis pain because of the long term side effects, heart attack & stroke. I've been on it over 5 years?

NSAIDs: As rheumatologists, we now, educate patient said NSAIDs such as Celebrex should be taken as needed. I routinely recommend topical NSAID treatments as well as other pain medicines which are not opioids. I recommend being seen by a rheumatologist for more detail and specific therapy in your case. ...Read more
