Depends on surgeon: I tell my patients that I don't want them increasing the intra-abdominal pressure significantly for 6 wks postop to reduce the risk of getting a hernia at an incision. One good thing: about laparoscopic GB removal , besides less pain rely ambulation and return to work. Traditional surgery with large scar takes takes 6 wks to go back to regular work but you can in half the time or even less if you feel like going back to work ...Read more

Maybe: Less than a month from surgery. Avoid fried, fatty, greasy foods for a while. Eat smaller amounts of food at a time. May have various discomforts for 4-8 weeks that generally resolve. See tour surgeon if persists. ...Read more
