There could be a complication of surgery, or the original condition (afffecting gallbladder) could have come back. (Gallstones can occur in the ducts left over, or in the pancreas). Maybe: Less than a month from surgery. Avoid fried, fatty, greasy foods for a while. Eat smaller amounts of food at a time. May have various discomforts for 4-8 weeks that generally resolve. See tour surgeon if persists. ...Read more

Quite common: When your gallbladder is gone its function for STORAGE of bile which continues to be made by your LIVER is also gone and until the bile system ofr ducts enlarge to take over the storage function ( 3-6 months usually) the bile goes directly in your stomach and this may be a IRRITANT!!! During the period of recovery, abstinence from alcohol, limiting fatty food intake, may limit the stress on the pancreas.
