After Flushing With Water How Long Before Creatinine Levels Return
Huh?: Are you trying to lower your serum creatinine by drinking a lot of water? Unless you had bad prerenal azotemia from dehydration, it won't work. Elevated serum creatinine is a marker either for a person being well-muscled (athletic men are being sent in large numbers to nephrologists because of liability concerns) or having kidney damage. I took a drug screen and it came back diluted. I did not tamper with the test by drinking a lot of water and wondered if my creatinine levels are low and if so what can I do to increase the levels in my urine.?
See your pcp: Verifying that a urine sample is "human urine" includes checking the temperature, ph, specific gravity and concentration of creatinine. Disease states can cause an exceptionally low creatinine level so having your pcp do further tests is of value. The creatinine concentration tested for is rather wide and permits a quite low level as normal. So if you are lower it is worth looking into. ...Read more
Will my creatinine level raise from taking anabolic steroids? And will drinking lots of water bring it down for my drug screen that uses urine dilute

Different drug screens test for different things. Most employers check for opioid abuse, not anabolic use, unlike sporting oversight groups. Unfortunately, there's no way to get stuff out of your system any faster or hide it ...Read more

Chf patient under 1L water intake a day, BUN level 63, creatinine 2.0 on lasix 40 mg maintenance dosage. Should water intake be increased a little so the kidneys don't conserve water? Asking because of decreased urination wirh stable GFR. Check Adh?
CHF/ renal disease: This question is best asked to you cardiologist, as you have CHF and kidney damage so your fluid balance is very delicate. Drinking too much can put you back in CHF.
