Should get better: There are a number of tests, ultrasound, mrcp that you could have to rule out an abscess or retained gallstone in your bile ducts. If these are clear an ERCP may help. See your surgeon. It is still early, it may be the clip on your bile duct or inflamation. ...Read more

Hard to say: Unfortunately, it's hard to determine exactly what's going with the limited symptoms you describe; though it's not common to have shortness of breath after eating. It could be possibly related to reflux or microaspiration(as in food going down the wrong pipe). Eating and SOB: Do you have acid re-flux?. Do you belch, in between meals do you feel hungry, do you have abdominal cramps, can to drink fluids without symptoms? I think in esophageal-or para-esophageal hernias, or a some of gastric volvolus, which leave a small gastric cavity. Aspiration?: My biggest concern would be she could have a swallowing disorder where, when she eats some of the liquids or solids are going down her windpipe. This is not an uncommon condition, but can be due to serious underlying disease such as dementia/stroke, but can occur due to other factors. Take her to a doctor who will order a swallong study on her most likely. ...Read more
