Give it a week: It take several days for symptoms of yeast to clear up entirely. Give it a few more days, then recheck with your doctor if you still have discharge or symptoms. Or if in doubt, get the discharge checked anyway. Discharge isn't usually the main yeast symptom, and you may need to be checked for STDs (depending on risks) and other causes. ...Read more

I have a severe yeast infection. For two days I took diflucan (fluconazole) 150 mg. I was still itching and had discharge. What's wrong?

Several possibilitie: Among the possibilities:
1. Misdiagnosis. How was the yeast infection diagnosed?
2. Coexisting problem. Ii could be that you have another problem.
3. Insufficient time. It might just take a little longer for the yeast infection to respond to diflucan (fluconazole).
I suggest seeing your doctor for re-evaluation and management. ...Read more

Maybe infection: Generally, thick, white, clumpy discharge is consistet with yeast and should respond to over-the-counter antifungal meds. Since this has not worked, I would recommend a trip to your physician's office. Occassionally, other infections can be present. Your doctor will make the diagnoses and treat you. ...Read more

Vaginal itch, clumpy white discharge, no odor. Took one dose diflucan (fluconazole) yesterday. Still itches and uncomfortable especially when sitting.??

Diflucan (fluconazole) takes days: Diflucan (fluconazole) takes a few days to treat a more stubborn yeast infection. Itching indicates that the yeast is deep enough to create enough inflammation to trigger nerve endings. So if after a week, the itching does not go away, I usually recommend using an OTC antifungal cream externally to finish the job. If that does not help, see your GYN. ...Read more

I have an important question if I don't have itch or burn but the doctor still gave the "fluconazole" just cus I have mild discharge can I still have sex?

No sex for a while: Your doctor apparently suspected a yeast infection, the only thing treatable with fluconazole. However, yeast usually causes itching, irritaiton, etc and not discharge. Best to avoid sex until you know the cause of the discharge. If at risk for STDs, gonorrhea, chlamydia, or trichomonas might be possible. Discuss with your doctor. ...Read more

Sugar: I have no idea how anyone could have led you to believe you had HIV.
