Several nonenhancing WML frontal lobe. Adult onset bed wetting. Numb toes for3 years. Horrific day migraines. Docs are stumped. Any ideas?
Control measures: Are available, but at age 60 some of our meds are risky. If hypertension or heart disease is present, would avoid triptans, and perhaps select dolovent (otc) to stop the headache. To prevent, which i would prefer, could use prescription (topirimate, depakote) or otc (riboflavin, butterbur, feverfew, co-q10). My mother has a headache mild , around the fronthead area , on the right side, I think is migraine in adults , treatment?
Developed adult acne, took yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) combined pill, it helped, but developed a migraine with aura. What options do I have? Any low dose oestrogen pills?
Freq. loss of words w gradual increase in last 6 mos, slurring, hard to listen in work meetings. Increased # of migraine onset. Always under stress.
Stress + headache: Stress is a common cause of these symptoms. Frequent migraines are caused by stress, and all of this can be distracting. Could it be something else? If the migraines are the same as before, only more frequent, that is a good sign. If you have time away from the stress, do the symptoms improve? That is also a good sign. I suffer from migraines and I'm on amitriptyline, I also was given migraleive before onset migraine, can I take the migraleive aswell as amitriptyline?
Yes: A low dose of amitriptylene is often used once a day at bedtime to try and prevent migraines. If you do get a migraine while on the amitriptylene it is safe to take migraleive as well.
