What are the side effects of selegine for a patient who has a pheochromocytoma (tumor of adrenal gland)?
I am a big supporter of selegeline for parkinson's disease, cognitive impairment, and erectile dysfunction. However, not sure regarding any benefits for pheochromocytoma. That being said, there are no serious side effects from selegeline.

Had acth stimu injection test 2 check for secondary adrenal insuff. I was still exhausted after injection. Was I supposed to feel energy/side effects?
No: The acth stimulation test is just to see if your adrenal glands would respond to a single dose of acth. It doesn't provide the prolonged stimulation needed to you to start feeling better, if that is your root problem; also, if you didn't have secondary adrenal insufficiency, and it was primary, there would be no response anyways. ...Read more

Neither: Actually, more Prednisone is used than either of the other 2 meds. Cortisone has been the traditionally used med but must be given several times daily. Prednisone and Prednisolone can usually be given once daily. Also, because cortisone causes some salt retention, it is better for those with low blood pressure while the others are better for those with higher blood pressure. ...Read more
