Adrenal Fatigue Dizziness
Period delay5-6days, dizzy n feel bloated, n unwell. But, today period come n bit nausea, on n off dizzy Is it adrenal fatigue or juz normal period?
Delayed period: It is very common for a period to suddenly be abnormal or late due to some hormonal changes. It is usually nothing to worry about. If with in next 2 - 3 cycles it does not get regular then you should see an Ob / Gyn doctor. It will be also good idea to get home pregnancy test to be on safe side if you are sexually active.
Adrenal fatigue is not a recognized diagnosis in science based medicine. Although inconsistent with our understanding of adrenal physiology, the theory is that the adrenal glands "wear out" after a prolonged stress leading to fatigue. There is no evidence or reason to believe this occurs. When the adrenals are damaged or fail in conditions such as addison's disease -- ...Read more
Can anyone help me?! shortness of breathe, vertigo, weakness, have issues for 4 years now. Is this adrenal fatigue? Or candida overgrowth? Or lyme?
For weeks now, Dizzy, fatigue, general ill feeling, headache no fever. CBC TSH and Lime were ok. Should I see a Neurologist or maybe check my Adrenal?
Dizzy, etc: I strongly recommend you make an appointment to a Psychologist as soon as you can. The doctor will care for you if your concern is critical. The Psychologist may decide that you should see a Neurologist. Please let me know how things go.

See endocrinologist: The adrenal makes cortisol and adrenaline, both of which are stress hormones. People who are stressed out and having trouble coping are sometimes persuaded that it’s the adrenal’s fault. This is usually not true. Poor adrenal function is determined by an acth (cotrosyn) stim test, not by simply measuring a random blood/saliva level. See an endocrinologist if you have concerns.
Adrenal Fatigue: Adrenal fatigue often leads to chronic fatigue syndrome, so it is very important to treat it. The most important treatment is lifestyle. Specifically, avoid overuse of stimulants since that puts more strain on the adrenals, increase your vitamin C, decrease your stress level, avoid overexercising, go to bed at a consistent time, maintain steady blood sugar, and consider using adaptogens.
Feed your adrenals: Cortisol - as are all corticosteroids is derived from cholesterol. Studies have shown that a high saurated fat, low polyunsaturated fat diet will increase corticosteroid levels. Also supplementation with pregnenolone will increase ability of your adrenals to make cortisol, progesterone, estrogen, testosterone and other corticoids. Reduce all forms of stress. Get sleep and sunlight.See 3 more doctor answers
Many possibilities.: There are innumerable medical, nutritional and emotional conditions that include being tired as a symptom. These range from simple issues to those far more complex. A good checkup and blood testing would be a good starting point. If you're embarking on a regimen for adrenal fatigue, just make sure the diagnosis is accurate and the work up is complete.See 1 more doctor answer
Worthless test: Even in complete adrenal failure (addisions disease) I am unaware of this sign. I would place no reliability on this sign. "adrenal fatigue" is a fake diagnosis, and this is a fake sign that tries to trick you into thinking you have something. Elsewhere on healthtap, there are many answers to the question of adrenal fatigue by many doctors.
Formal testing: Only by performing formal dynamic adrenal stimulation (so called acth stimulation test) that a full assessment of the adrenal-pituitary axis be assessed and be determined if cortisol (or its equivalent) supplementation is needed. The is no medical literature to date to support the notion that use of adrenal "by product" remedies (available over the counter with no prescription) are helpful.See 2 more doctor answers
Fatigue or insuff: Adrenal insufficiency is a very serious disorder and as mentioned by dr. Powers needs to be managed by a specialist. Adrenal fatigue is a diagnosis that is very controversial in the medical field and many doctors do not consider to be an actual disease. Before taking anything for it during pregnancy, you should discuss with your OB or endocrinologist first.See 1 more doctor answer
Not really: The adrenal makes cortisol and adrenaline, both of which are stress hormones. People who are stressed out and having trouble coping are sometimes persuaded that it’s the adrenal’s fault. This is usually not true. Poor adrenal function is determined by an acth (cotrosyn) stim test. See an endocrinologist if you have concerns. You don't need a supplement, just healthy living and stress reduction.
No - such - thing.: "Adrenal fatigue" is a nonexistent condition that "holistic" doctors trot out to describe common symptoms that many people have who are depressed, anxious, stressed, etc. Those whom the quacks diagnose with this usually have NO problem whatsoever with their adrenal gland function, despite whatever bogus non-approved test is done--typically a saliva cortisol test--that is supposedly "abnormal."See 2 more doctor answers

Adrenal fatigue?: Never heard of this term. Can you please be more specific.See 1 more doctor answer
Several of them: "Adrenal fatigue" is a "pop" / "fad" diagnosis seen mostly in people in difficult living situations; I think it's bogus. True adrenal insufficiency can be screened for by simply labs but often requires an ACTH stimulation test for definitive diagnosis; it's fatal if missed. Too much adrenal hormone / cortisol is best screened for by timed urine studies and a dexamethasone suppression test.
