Maybe: The neurotransmitter (nt) most involved in adhd is dopamine. Prozac boosts the effects of serotonin, another nt. Those two nts are kind of on a 'seesaw' in the brain, so when seroonin is stimulated for a while, you may get a fall of in the effects of dopamine, which can worsen adhd symptoms. One solution is to add Adderall or Ritalin (methylphenidate) for your adhd which stimulates dopamine. Check with your doctor. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I'm a 29y/o woman diagnosis with ADHD and anxiety. I was prescribed 10mg of fluoxetine, 25mg of hydroxyzine and 0.2mg of clonidine at bedtime. Is that safe?
Probably safe.: The doses you have listed (10 mg of prozac, 25 mg of vistaril, (hydroxyzine) and 0.2 mg of clonidine) seem reasonable to me, especially if there was at least a few days between starting each (so that the cause of any adverse effects might be more easily known). Taking Adderall (as indicated) with these has some risks of adverse interactions, thus close monitoring for potential adverse effects is indicated. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Prozac (fluoxetine) makes me think suicidal but i would never act on it. Could i be misdiagnosed with depression due to undiagnosed adhd?
Please let your dr /: Psychiatrist know immediately that you feel suicidal on prozac (fluoxetine). One possibility is that you are suffering from a bipolar depression and not a unipolar depression. Antidepressants can actually make things worse in that situation. Get emergency care if you ever got to the point that you might act on these thoughts. Take care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

You can: Take two doses of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) at 40 ng in the morning and 30 mg at noon. The Prozac should not affect the Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) at all. See your doctor and discuss your problem and see if changing the dosage and scheduled time will work. ...Read moreSee 7 more doctor answers

Use Xanax (alprazolam) 0.25mg, prozac 20mg daily also take ritalin 10mg but only for the times that i need to study cause dont have adhd.is it safe take them both?
Heel-toe expert only: First, you should not use meds that have not been prescribed to you for a specific condition. I don't understand what 0.25mg Xanax (alprazolam) can help with taken once daily. It doesn't last long enough to treat anxiety all day. Ritalin plus Xanax (alprazolam) is like pressing the gas pedal and brake at the same time. For an expert driver it's a great maneuver, for an amateur it could spell disaster. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
