Rare but benign: These are quite uncommon. I don't believe they have any malignant potential beyond normal breast, but if the mass bothers you, feel free to have it excised. Since it's uncommon, see if your biopsy has been or can be looked at by two pathologists. ...Read more

Complete the workup: What led to the original ultrasound? Was it an abnormal exam or mammogram? Please see your doctor and get a complete breast evaluation. Depending on the mammogram results (and make sure the mammography has your ultrasound images!), further workup may be necessary, possibly including mri. If the findings are not completely benign, a biopsy to look at tissue under the microscope is required. ...Read more

The ultrasound report should include info which tells the ordering physician what the next step is (routine follow-up, close f/u, biopsy)--please talk to your dr. ...Read more

I've got a breast tumor. Had a ultrasound. Now waiting on biopsy. He said it probably was a adenoma. I've got one on my pituitary gland also. Cancer?
