Addicted To Nurofen Plus
Is it safe to to take flexeril approx 5 hours after taking norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen)? I take 15mgs norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) 2 or 3 times a day. Trying to wean off of norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen).
Depends: Flexeril is a muscle relaxant with sedative properties. Driving and using alcohol are not recommended. Narcotics such as Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) can cause respiratory depression. Some medical conditions can complicate the use of medications, so care must be taken when using this combination of drugs. Therefore, it is best to consult your treating physician. ...Read more

2 cautions: One must not exceed 4, 000 mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) in 24 hours. You don't mention what strength of medication you're taking or how often you take it, so i can't comment on the "3". But if you stay <4, 000 mg, you're okay. Avoid prolonged use of Aspirin and tylenol (acetaminophen) because the combination can cause kidney damage if taken over the long term. ("analgesic nephropathy"). ...Read more
Danger: Taking all of these highly addictive drugs together is like what we would give someone in the last stages of hospice care. My experience with patients on all of these meds is that they often have become habituated or addicted to this. And, they are often miserable despite taking so many medications. I would caution you that it may be time to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can you tell me about it's like to take esgic (acetaminophen butalbital and caffeine) plus for migraines?
Bone pain: If the Percocet works, then Oxycontin or MS Contin (morphine) would probably be decent choices. The dosing for these meds is every 8-12 hours and you can use a different medication for breakthrough pain.Other meds like steroids and NSAIDs may help. Localized radiation may help.Depends on type of cancer.Getting cancer under control is most impt regarding both health AND pain relief. ...Read more
Yes: Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is a combination of hydrocodone and Acetaminophen while Opana is hydromorphone and a long acting opiate preparation . The instructions for use are therefore different since Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is short acting as opposed to opana. Pound per pound therefore, Opana is much , much strong compared with Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) and utmost care should be exercised if for instance a switch is to occur from Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) use to opana, . ...Read more
What is stronger, morphine sulfate or methadone? I'm getting tolerant to 100mg of morphine 3x/day & need a break, hoping to find something equal.
Methadone vs. MS: Methadone is definitely stronger than the same dose of morphine, but to switch from one to another you need to talk to your doc about that. Methadone has been falling out of favor for pain purposes due to its short duration of analgesic effect and multiple side effects. ...Read more
Tolerance reduction: The best way to reduce tolerance to Norco is to reduce the dose of this medication. If you discuss your concerns with your primary medical doctor then he may be willing to prescribe a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent such as Ibuprofen or even tylenol (acetaminophen) so that the component of pain relief from the Norco will be less and the dose of the Norco can be less. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Nurofen and Targin: Nurofen is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory agent to treat pain. Targin is a mild narcotic combination that also treats mild pain through a different mechanism. If the paracetamol was taken over 18-24 hours then no. If you are feeling like harming yourself then the amount of medication makes no difference be seen right now at the nearest medical facility. ...Read more
NSAID side effects.: Nsaids like Ibuprofen have some unfortunate side effects that make them a poor choice for many people in pain and most people with pain after sports activities. They cause injury to stomach, kidneys, prevent your body from rebuilding cartilage in your joints from every day wear and tear, and stop your body from healing an acute injury like a tendon injury or an ankle sprain. ...Read more
My little boy has watery eyes. He is not sick. He has a slight cold. I'm giving him nurofen for children 6 plus. Is it a cold he has.
Watery eyes: Tear ducts drain into the nose, so when the "lining" of the nose is swollen or congested, the tear ducts can be blocked which would cause an overflow of tears. Sometimes, the eyes themselves are irritated and may have increased inflammation with increased tearing. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Hi, can you take nurofen plus with solpadol? I have fractured my foot and was prescribed difene 50mg capsules, but are making me ill. Can I take nurofen plus 200mg/12.8mg as an anti-inflammatory as well as the solpadol 500mg/30mg I was prescribed
No, you shouldn't: Both Nurofen Plus and Solpadol 500/30 contain codeine and an aspirin-like product, so you would be taking more of both than your doctor recommended. My advice is to stick with just Solpadol 500/30. If that alone doesn't control your pain, please contact your doctor for advice. Besides pain meds, they are other ways to get pain relief from an injury like this. ...Read more
Been taking aprox 5 tabs ibuprofen every 6 hrs all summer. plus tylonal. now very sick. extrememly weak, its like im shutting down. what to do?
Pain: What's going on? We are obviously missing a great deal of information about you since we don't even know your age let alone your medical history and why you are taking ibuprofen so often. Please see a doctor urgently, I mean now. I'm also suspicious of significant mental health pathology in addition to anatomic and physiologic injury that you may have sustained by self medicating. ...Read more

My boyfriend is sick i gave him ibuprofen (600mg) at 2pm and alka-seltzer plus at 6pm is it ok for me to give him 120mg of ibuprofen now at 9:10 pm??
Ibuprofen Use: Well, it depends on which alka-seltzer plus was given. If it was the one with Tylenol, (acetaminophen) then yes he can have another 200mg of ibuprofen at this time. But if it was the one with aspirin, then I would hold off on giving more anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen, Advil, aspirin, etc. Generally, he can have up to 800mg of Ibuprofen every 8 hours as needed for pain/inflammation/fever. ...Read more
I bought relora plus for my anxiety and stress from a health store called natures source. Am I able to take an Advil (ibuprofen) while taking these natural pills?
Unknown: there is no good evidence that Relora works for Weight loss or anxiety, despite what is written on the Internet. A good review of the minimal amount of study that has been done is at supplement-geek.com/relora. Because it is not been studied, it is not possible to tell whether there could be an interaction between ibuprofen and the active ingredients in Relora. I would avoid it. Good luck. ...Read more
