What can be causing upper abdominal pain radiating to back spine?

Abdominal pan & back: You have upper abdominal pain that radiates to the back. Classically one could consider pancreatitis as a cause of this pain. Drug induced pancreatitis from Lasix (furosemide) among other drugs. You may also consider an ulcer, gastritis, cholocystitis, and colitis. These are what comes to mind. Your doctor will perform a thorough history and physical exam and may order tests to help you. Don't smoke.

Left Upper abdominal pain that hurts when I touch it. It also hurts when I breath deeply. I feel it some in my back as well. What could it be?

Left Upper abdominal pain that hurts when I touch it. It also hurts when I breath deeply. I feel it some in my back as well. What could it be?

Plenty: In that area, your lung, spleen, stomach, ribs, muscles, skin and kidney could be involved. Without any history or physical exam we will not be able to identify the exact cause. It will therefore be best to have you see your doctor or if you are in severe pain to go to the emergency room as soon as possible. Good luck

I'm having upper abdominal pain that leads to my back. Also I'm having pain on the back right side of my head, that's followed by a on fire sensation?

Head and stomach: Upper abdominal pain could be anything including something in the gall bladder, the pancreas the GI tract. Pain in the head that is not related to headache is interesting. These symptoms require a call to your provider who knows you best especially if the symptoms continue or get worse. I would also be worried about pregnancy and urinary infection.

Severe pain: If having severe pain after having had major surgery last week, you need in person evaluation. If you can't be seen in your doctors office today, head to the emergency room.

What Tests?: What tests have you had so far? Sometimes real pain can be related to stress. Is tr pain associated with any specific stressors? Or times of the day? Does it go away on the weekend? How often does it occur?

Further to my answer from Dr Rhoads, my temperature underarm is 99.4. upper abdominal pain going through to back. Diagnosed myself with pancreatic c?

Get evaluation: Upper abd pain with radiation to your back has a number of possibilities, and pancreatic cancer would not be on the top of the list. Gall bladder problems can give this pain radiation with both the L and R upper abd. Also gastric problems can also give this picture. You will need to be seen, get further history, exam, and prob some radiology studies done to make the Dx.

Mid back is killing me. Feels like thousands of pins shooting thru pain. Upper abdominal pain. Hurts when I breathe. Don't know what to do?

Doctor today: This could be many things including pneumonia or a gallbladder attack. Either way, based on the description, you should be seen by a doctor today. Could be a primary care, urgent care, or emergency department, but today is in our best interest. Hope this helps!
